Candied Sweet Potato Recipe

• 6 sweet potatoes, washed and pared
• 2 tablespoons butter
• 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
• 1 1/4 cups water
• 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut potatoes into cross-wise half inch thick slices. Use a 2-quart casserole, Arrange slices, and mix in remaining ingredients. Blend butter, brown sugar, water and salt in a small bowl. Pour over sweet potatoes. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes in a covered dish. Uncover and continue baking for 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
